Transformation is the first guidance document in a set of
nine that form the
Local Education Partnerships Toolkit.
Summary
This note provides guidance to help drive education
transformation in the BSF programme. The areas for
consideration can be used as a vehicle for reflection,
discussion, planning and review by all those involved in LEP
planning.
The aim of this note is to promote further opportunities
for the LEP to make a significant contribution towards
achieving the ambitious education transformation goals of
the BSF programme.
The key activities to drive education transformation
The following activities are key in supporting the LEP in
its role in education transformation:

Ensuring the transformation expectations are
understood with regards to the Local Authority scope
and ambition

Ensuring there is adequate planning and preparation
for transformation

Identifiying key stages throughout the BSF process
where transformation plans should be promoted

Ensuring that transformation is at the forefront
throughout the Procurement and Ipmlementation stages
of BSF

Considering the LEP's role in ensuring strong,
visionary and strategic leadership skills are
inherent in all key partners

Ensuring that agreed targets are incorporated into
the contractual relationships to keep the
transformation goal at the forefront

Ensuring that transformation is at the top of the
agenda in every stage fo the process

Understanding the LEPs role in all of the above when
preparing for the role of the LEP
